Education

Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences has hired Anita Cleary as director of its Medical Learning Resource Center. She has worked as a medical librarian for Yakima Regional Medical and Cardiac Center since 1995. She will continue to serve in both positions. Cleary has a master's degree in library and information studies from the University of California, Berkeley, and a bachelor's degree in public health from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.

 

Finance

U.S. Bank has awarded Craig Tullis with its Five Star Volunteer Award. Tullis, senior vice president and regional manager of U.S. Bank Central Washington Commercial Banking in Yakima, is one of 136 employees nationwide to earn the award. The award includes a $1,000 donation to Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences.

 

COUNTRY Financial has named Sean Brown as an agent. As part of his new position, he completed the company's New Agent School, where he learned about the products and financial solutions available to customers.

 

Medical

Washington Hematology-Oncology will add Stina Mui Singel to its practice Oct. 1. Singel, who will specialize in the treatment of breast cancer, earned both a doctorate in neuroscience and completed her physician studies at the University of California, San Diego, where she also recently completed a clinical fellowship in hematology-oncology. She will also serve as an assistant professor at the Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences.

 

Washington State Aging and Disability Services Administration has named Lori Crow to its Boarding Home Advisory Board. Crow, who has been executive director of the Ponderosa Assisted Living Community for five years, will advise the department, which assists children and adults in finding the right long-term care for developmental delays or disabilities, cognitive impairment, chronic illness and related functional disabilities.
