YAKIMA SPEEDWAY

What: Late Models, Super Stocks, Hobby Sportsman, Hobby Stocks, Hornets, Bump to Pass, Youth Hornets.

When: Saturday. Gates open at 4 p.m., racing at 5.

Note: Quiet since the Apple Cup, the Speedway hosts its first full local slate of racing on Saturday. Weather has disrupted the early season with the Speedway's cancellation of April 26 racing followed by this weekend's cancellation of the ASA Northwest Tour's event at Stateline Stateway. Another factor was skyrocketing fuel costs for travel to the Idaho track. The NWT's next event is still scheduled for Yakima on May 24.
