SAMMAMISH -- Dan Whitaker improved on his opening-round score, but he was still well back in the pack after two rounds of the 15th Sahalee Players Championship.
The third round, also scheduled for Wednesday, was suspended because of thunderstorms.
Whitaker shot a second-round score of 4-over par 76 to go with an opening 79 that left him in a tie at 155.
Trent Whitekiller fired a second-round 67 to take the overall lead by two shots over first-round leader Andrew Landry and Matthew Giles.
Whitekiller has a 139 total.
Landry slipped back after a 73 that dropped him to 141. Giles followed up a 70 with a 71 Wednesday.
